I recently photographed my very first The Lane wedding in San Diego, and boy, was it special! Jess and Ryan brought an explosion of color to this waterfront, minimalist venue, truly making the space all their own. I photographed this San Diego wedding day (google, I hope you’re reading this) on a mix of film and digital cameras. This wedding day was featured on 100 Layer Cake!
The Lane is a relatively new San Diego wedding venue, and the location couldn’t be better. Placed directly on the waterfront, beautiful sunlight floods into the venue all afternoon til sunset, making it the perfect place for a San Diego local wedding or a destination affair for anyone wanting an elegant yet beachside wedding celebration. In addition, the venue is a “blank space” so each couple can make it special and unique with their own event design and taste.

“If you’re wondering if you should work with Erin, stop what you’re doing, and reach out to her IMMEDIATELY!
When I look back at wedding planning, one of the simplest elements was incorporating Erin and her team. From the inquiry, she was professional, communicative, and friendly – making the photography side of wedding planning a breeze. Even with my many emails filled with questions, she was always timely in her responses and proactive in providing details.
Fast forward to the wedding day. Erin and her team arrived on time, came prepared, and were super fun to be around! It was like having three additional girlfriends that have known me for years, photographing us. The friendliness and hype this group provided made for a comfortable environment for me, my fiancé, our family and friends. When interacting with us, Erin had a great ability to capture attention of those she needed and sharing her ideas without interfering with the natural flow of the day. I received comment after comment of how great they were to each of our guests, which I was very thankful for.
A mini note – Erin and her team shoot with a variety of cameras, including film and flash (which I loved).
Less than 24 hours post wedding, Erin sent us sneak peeks. We could not have been more thrilled and in love with the outcome. The emotion, feelings, and color captured were exactly what we’d hoped for. When it came time to deliver the full gallery, she came to my house, dropped off a hand written thank you note and a bottle of bubbly for us to enjoy while my husband and I looked through the photos – she’s a sweetheart with the details.
Erin is 100% worth the investment, and I cannot recommend her enough. We are so fortunate and thankful we worked with her. And Erin, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU so much!!!” – Jess & Ryan
Feel free to inquire if you want to see their full gallery, always happy to share the complete story of the day along with many others so you know exactly what your own album will look like.
