Rachel + Joe knew exactly what they wanted when they called me up to be their photographer, so that’s how we ended up doing their Palos Verdes engagement photos! These two remembered visiting Wayfarer’s Chapel earlier on in their relationship, so they immediately asked me if we could go back for their engagement photos. Obviously my answer was yes, it’s hard to say no to a place this gorgeous 😉
These two were full of laughs and excitement for each other, and I couldn’t help but smile along with them the whole time we were taking photos!! Rachel + Joe met in grad school and now they live in Los Angeles together (with their two cute kitties) only 5 minutes down the street from me (seriously SUCH a small world!).
I always come into engagement sessions with plenty of ideas of poses and prompts for my couples to make sure you two are all good and feeling comfortable throughout. BUT I won’t lie, it’s one of my favorite things when couples speak up about a certain photo they really want!! As we went along, Joe told me he most definitely wanted some pictures of them giving each other piggy back rides. THE BEST!! And he didn’t just mean photos of him giving her a piggy back ride…oh no, he wanted one too! I definitely need to keep asking all of my couples if there are any specific photos they’re excited about, because it always ends in extra laughs and tends to be a fun time all around!!
Rachel and Joe aren’t getting married until January 2020, but I loveee how on top of things they are already!! They made my job super easy, and I’m so so excited to get to document their wedding day in DTLA at the Mayfair Hotel in a few months!
Thanks to these two for exploring this gorgeous coastline for me, enjoy a little peek into their engagement photos 🙂
