I honestly can’t say enough good things about this experience I shared with Aubri, Matt, and their close-knit group of guests. From a quick COVID-19 pivot to the most epic wedding weekend, Aubri and Matt were flexible, easygoing, and down to celebrate in an untraditional but totally special way.
Aubri + Matt were supposed to get married this fall. Then 2020’s least favorite wedding guest showed up to ruin the party. Instead of cancelling their nuptials, A+M opted for a last minute bachelor/bachelorette party weekend turned intimate wedding at a private estate in Paso Robles! They called me up, switched the date, and we made it happen.
Let me just say…this wedding weekend easily could have been Plan A. Aubri and her bridesmaids created this Pinterest-worthy tablescape complete with dried flowers, candles, and chargers from home. The day before the wedding, the couple drove to San Luis Obispo and selected a seaside ceremony spot to say their vows, and it was perfect. The food was delicious, the champagne and margs were flowing, and I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever seen a group of people have this much fun at a wedding!
If you’re a couple whose wedding plans are completely up in the air, hi! Welcome. This is nuts. A microwedding may be an amazing solution for you to celebrate and make the best damn lemonade out of the bag of lemons life handed you this year.
Matt: “Erin was a fantastic photographer all around. She was incredibly professional, with fantastic advice & ideas, and wonderful to work with personally. She was always prepared, flexible, and good spirited throughout our time working with her. It was utterly amazing how much of the atmosphere, emotion, personalities, and scenery she captured during our wedding & engagement photos, and she always made my wife and me feel outstanding. We couldn’t imagine anyone else doing a better job!”
Aubri: “Erin is the best. Period. It’s hard for me to really find words to describe this incredible woman and the photos she created for both our wedding and engagement sessions. First of all, Erin runs her business very well. She’s a great communicator, up front with pricing and services, and conducts her research to make sure she truly captures you as a couple. Second, she’s SO talented. The lighting, composition and editing of the photos is exactly what I was looking for. They don’t look over-edited but still have that vividness that makes them look like they should be in a magazine. Lastly, Erin is just an outstanding human. She is kind, funny, goofy, and went the extra mile (actually the extra 200 miles) when we decided to elope after our wedding was cancelled for Covid. Like what?? Without a second thought, she jumped into planning mode and captured the day perfectly. WE LOVE YOU ERIN! And we will cherish these photos and your friendship 5ever.”
