Shelby and Eric’s elegant wedding at The Harper in Orange County was a true celebration of love. From the moment they decided to tie the knot, it was clear their wedding would be a heartfelt and stylish affair!

Eight Years of LOVE in the Making

Shelby and Eric have been together for over eight years. Their journey began through mutual friends despite attending the same high school! Their shared history and similar social circles made it super easy for their relationship to blossom. It wasn’t long before they knew they were meant to be together! The fact that Shelby and Eric attended the same school meant that their friend circles largely overlapped, so they had a strong support system and community around them from the beginning. These shared relationships made planning the wedding feel almost like they were planning a reunion for all their pals, definitely a night to remember!

The Couple

Their bond grew stronger as they built a life together, starting with their first dog and eventually adding multiple pets to their home. In September 2022, Eric proposed to Shelby in San Francisco, her hometown, making the moment particularly sentimental . They describe themselves as “food people,” with a love for exploring new restaurants and bars. They spend much of their time often surrounded by friends and family. Truly genuine people and a fun couple with adventurous spirits! 

Elegant Wedding Day at The Harper

Their stunning wedding took place at The Harper in Orange County, chosen for its unique charm and the ability to reflect their elegant Italian-themed celebration. The Harper pairs a modern and sleek architectural aesthetic with softer elements like olive trees and jasmine vines throughout the courtyards. The jasmine bloomed just in time for Eric and Shelby’s May celebration; the venue was truly at its peak beauty just for them! The evening was filled with delightful surprises, including a late night pizza snack and a gelato cart for dessert, adding a fun twist to the traditional wedding fare. Adding in favorite  snack elements throughout the night is a totally fun way to add surprises  for your guests! 

Live Music 

I loved how music played such a significant role in their wedding. They both wanted to create a relaxed and warm  atmosphere with their music choices. When guests arrived for ceremony, they were greeted by h a live guitarist named Adam, who later also served as the DJ. Adam is not only an excellent guitar player, but he is a beautiful vocalist. He worked with the couple to learn about their preferences and included some of their special songs into the setlist. He provided the perfect touch of music during the ceremony and cocktail hour. It was a tasteful personal touch that elevated the evening. 

Elegance & Simplicity

Shelby and Eric wanted their wedding to be simple yet elegant. They opted with statement decor featuring lots of candles and curated florals. The Harper recently introduced a dramatic new way of serving salads family-style on a long wooden tray brought to the dance floor. This unique presentation added a fun flair, especially for a couple who loves to celebrate with food. 

Intentional Details

The personal touches were evident throughout the wedding. Shelby’s cousin did the flowers, creating a meaningful and intentional moment as she saw them come together. The couple also took dance lessons, performing a choreographed first dance to surprise their friends and family! 

Shelby’s Stunning Style

Shelby’s fashion choices added an extra layer of excitement to the wedding. She wore three different outfits throughout the day, starting with cute white pajamas with fringe and pearls.Next up, an iconic and  gorgeous mermaid-style wedding dress with sparkles. Our beautiful bride ended the night in a mini dress with glittery Jeffrey Campbell shoes—perfect for dancing!!  I am loving the fashion moments I have been seeing with recent brides, and Shelby was definitely no exception! 

Joyful Collab 

Working with Shelby and Eric was a joy. Their sweetness and genuine love for each other made the day even more special. The ceremony, officiated by Alan Katz, included fun and silly elements that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Shelby and Eric’s wedding reflected  their love story. The day was filled with personal touches, elegant decor, and unforgettable moments. It was a celebration shared with family and friends that left everyone with lasting memories.
