Emma + Evan are so kind and genuine, and I love that they told me exactly what they wanted: beautiful Corona Del Mar Beach couples photos in the afternoon light! These two cuties are high school sweethearts who stayed together aaaaall through college…so obviously I connected with their story since it’s pretty similar to my own. š
One of the best things is finding a couple who’s down to explore and walk a bit during their photos with me. It helps break things up a little since I know you two aren’t professional models and being in front of the camera probably feels kind of weird! We went through some gorgeous beachside neighborhoods together around sunset and hit the beach as high tide came in for a little dancing. These two were super chill and so happy to be together, they made it easy! They were even down to get a little bit wet when the waves came in and soaked their pants/skirt haha oops. Such good sports <3
Another thing about this session that was great – Emma wore SUCH a fun dress! Flowy garments are awesome because they move around so much with your body which looks very flattering in photos. And…why not go with a more unexpected print?! I think the best thing is when you can wear clothes in photos that really reflect your personality. Be you. Wear what makes you unique. It doesn’t have to be simple if you like things full of color.
These two have celebrated so many cool milestones together, and they’re actually getting married this year too! Really happy for them, and I’m stoked that I got to hang out with them for an afternoon in Corona Del Mar. š Always excited for more fun golden hour, casual, beachy sessions in my home town!!
